Geaux Moto’s ND Miata with a 2.3L EcoBoost
Geaux Moto offers Miata performance parts and services at their company in Hammond, Louisiana. They used that experience to upgrade their Mazda Miata (ND) for racing at the track.
In the engine bay they swapped a 2.3 L EcoBoost inline-four built by Mountune. The motor uses Focus RS camshafts, Mountune dry sump system, and Garret G25 660 turbocharger. The motor sits on Geaux Motor’s swap mounts along with their custom downpipe and exhaust.
The fuel system consists of a Radium cell with two Walbro 450 pumps, 2000 cc injectors, and billet 3.5 L EcoBoost high pressure pump. The motor produces 434 hp (323 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. A MT-82 manual transmission sends power to a stock differential.
Geaux Moto improved the Miata’s handling with custom chassis bracing and their chromoly roll bar. They added a set of their custom-spec Ohlins adjustable coilovers, Karcepts front and rear sway bars, and SPL links. Braking is handled by AP Racing Competition CP brake kit and Wilwood four-piston rear brakes. Those are covered by a Titan 7 T-R8 wheels (17×9 +45) with Bridgestone Re71rs 245/40 tires.
On the interior Geaux Moto installed their custom dash insert with a AIM digital display behind a Sparco steering wheel. The driver sits in a Sparco carbon seat protected by a Sparco six-point harness. Make sure to view all of Geaux Moto’s projects.
