1969 Satellite with a Supercharged 426 ci HEMI

Published in engineswapdepot.com

David Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Satellite is Summit Racing’s April-June 2025 catalog cover car. The Satellite came from the factory with a Slant Six but is now powered by a supercharged 426 ci HEMI V8. The motor features a OEM HEMI block, SCAT Superlight forged crank, Mopar NASCAR rods, 9.5:1 forged pistons, and Crane Cams camshaft. On top sits a custom intake manifold and custom aluminum race heads with upgraded valves and springs. All this along with a Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim supercharger allows the HEMI to make an estimated 850 hp. Behind the HEMI V8 is a Chrysler A727 three-speed automatic transmission with reverse manual valvebody and Strange Engineering S60 rear end. The car rides on custom subframe connectors and Bilstein shocks. A set of Wheel Vintiques 63 Series (15×6, 15×8) wears BFGoodrich Radial T/A (235/70) in front and Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S (275/60) in rear.
