Custom Jaguar E-Type with a 6.8L V12
ECD Automotive Design created a custom Jaguar E-Type “GTO” referred to as “The Bridgewater Commission” for a special customer. The heart of the car is a 6.8 L Series 3 V12 built by Team CJ in Austin, Texas. The motor features a billet stroker crankshaft, lightweight pistons, upgraded camshafts, and ported heads. Forbes reports the motor produces 400 hp (294 kW) and costs $60,000. The drivetrain uses a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission and Series 3 limited-slip differential. Everything is supported by a Series 2 chassis with adjustable suspension, fast-ratio steering rack, six-piston front brakes, and four-piston rear brakes. On top of that is a hand-formed aluminum Series 1 body from Coventry, England with a removable hardtop. The body is painted in metallic British Racing Green. The interior features custom GTS head seats covered in Spinneybeck Lucente Hercules leather and brushed aluminum dash with Moal Bomber gauges. Forbes reports the custom E-type costs $599,000.
