G16-Powered Toyota AE86 Drifting

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Kunihiro Oto built this Toyota AE86 at his company DADDY Motor Works in Japan. We first shared the project in 2021 while it was still being built. Since then DADDY Motor Works completed the build for some drifting. The AE86 is powered by a turbocharged 1.6 L G16E-GTS inline-three typically found in the Toyota GR Yaris or Corolla. The motor makes 257–268 hp (192–200 kW) and 266–273 lb-ft (360–370 Nm) of torque in factory spec. However DADDY Motor Works upgraded their G16 with Kelford camshafts. Behind the G16 motor is a Toyota 86 six-speed manual transmission and a Toyota Crown (S110) rear end with an OS Giken differential. Watch the car drift
