American Speed Company built this 1964 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe in 2016 for Danny Shaffer. The car is powered by a 5.0 L Coyote V8 topped with a Roush Stage 2 supercharger. The motor’s 600 hp (441 kW) is transmitted through a T56 six-speed manual transmission and Strange 9-inch rear end with 3.90 ratio. The Fairlane sits on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis featuring a power steering rack, 4-link rear suspension, and Wilwood disc brakes. The interior uses custom Wollsdorf charcoal leather upholstery and ASC graphite carpet. The dash holds Classic Instrument gauges behind a leather-wrapped modified steering wheel. This car along with others from the Shaffer Family Collection were auctioned at Mecum.
