BMW E30 with a Twin-Turbo S55 Inline-Six
Honest Assembly was a team of 20 industry experts and six automotive students who spent two years planning and 11 months building this BMW E30 to raise money for The Morgan Adams Foundation charity focused on children’s cancer research. In the engine bay the team swapped a twin-turbo 3.0 L S55B30 inline-six from a BMW F80 M3 capable of 550 hp (404 kW) and 560 lb-ft (759 Nm) of torque. They included six F80 coolers, 4 fans, and a CSF F8X charge cooler. Behind the motor is a six-speed manual transmission from the F80 M3 and a machined rear differential for 4 clutches and 3.38 ratio. The E30 sits on custom subframes with extensive chassis reinforcements. The team improved handling using MCS 3-way adjustable coilovers, SLR Speed tubular control arms, Essex Racing AP Racing F80 front brakes, and BMW E46 rear brakes. A set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (225/40, 245/35) mount on Forgeline LS3 centerlock wheels (18×8, 18×8.5). You can view more photos and full specs on CSF Race’s project page.
