Honda Civic with a Supercharged K24
BYP Racing has been upgrading this Honda Civic EG at their company in Wetherill Park, NSW, Australia for seven years. The blue hatchback is powered by a supercharged 2.4 L Honda K-series inline-four built by BYP Racing. The motor starts with their K24 longblock capable of 700 hp (514 kW) featuring forged rods and pistons, revised oil pump, revised baffle sump, and head work. The combo produces 400 hp (294 kW) to the wheels on 98 RON fuel and 12 psi (0.8 bar) of boost from a Rotrex C38-81 centrifugal supercharger. Power is sent to the front wheels through a BYP Racing close-ratio six-speed manual transmission with a Cusco RS 1.5 way limited-slip differential. The 1070 kg (2358 lb) Civic rides on BYP Racing’s performance suspension with Advan 050 tires (225/50, 205/15). The front brakes were upgraded to AP Racing 9440 calipers with 304×28 mm rotors. Watch Benny Tran from BYP Racing testing the Civic around Brabham Circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park.
