EPS Motorsport’s Audi RS001 Race Car Testing at Blyton Park

Published in engineswapdepot.com

David Rowe and his company EPS Motorsport traveled to Blyton Park to test their Audi Group S RS001 replica race car. The wild vehicle is powered by a mid-engine turbocharged 2.5 L Audi 07K inline-five capable of 756 hp (556 kW) and 586 lb-ft (794 Nm) of torque. The engine’s output goes forward to a SGS six-speed sequential transmission with a transfer case. The transmission outputs directly to the front differential while the transfer case sends power rearward via the main driveshaft to the rear differential. We have a photo of the drivetrain layout in our previous article. Everything is supported by a custom chassis with Audi R8 suspension and custom carbon fiber body. Enjoy the inline-five screaming at the track and on the dyno in the video below.
