JF Launier built this custom 1968 Mercury Cougar fastback called “Predator” at his company JF Kustoms in Osoyoos, BC, Canada. Under the custom hood is a 529 ci Boss Nine V8 from Jon Kaase Racing Engines making 770 hp (566 kW). Behind that is a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and 9-inch rear end with a Posi limited-slip differential. The car rides on a custom suspension developed by Gary Yorston with custom coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and Mike Curtis custom wheels. JF Launier spent a lot of time on the body installing the fastback roofline from a 1968 Mustang. There are also custom quarter panels, rear bumper, and taillights.
