Nissan Z with a 1899 hp Twin-Turbo VR38
Emelia Hartford and her team built a 2024 Nissan Z (RZ34) capable of 7.75 sec at 167.85 mph in the quarter-mile. In the engine bay they swapped a twin-turbo VR38 V6 built by Cicio Performance. The motor uses a factory block, forged internals, CNC ported heads, GSE camshafts and valvetrain, and two Xona 7169 turbochargers. Methanol fuel is fed by a mechanical fuel pump through 12 FT 240 lb/h injectors. The combo made 1,899 hp (1416 kW) on a FuelTech FT600 ECU. A TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with a M&M Transmission billet converter sends power through a Driveshaft Shop 3.8-inch carbon fiver driveshaft to a fabricated 9-inch rear end. The custom backhalf chassis features custom 4-link rear suspension with custom shocks and springs.
