Gary Martins Races Simola in a Triple-Turbo Diesel BMW 2 Series

Gary Martins from Grease Monkey Motor Garage competed in the 2024 Simola Hillclimb with his unique BMW “M250d” race car. The car originally a 220d (F22) came with a 2.0 L turbodiesel inline-four and RWD drivetrain. However Gary swapped that for a triple-turbo N57S diesel inline-six and xDrive AWD drivetrain. Gary boosted the motor’s output with a water/methanol injection and nitrous system. When we last shared the car it was making 560 hp (411 kW) and 1000+ Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. HillClimb Monsters reports the motor is making 720 hp (529 kW) and 1200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. Watch Gary set a 44.05 sec in the video below.
