Matt Field’s 1000 hp C8 Corvette

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Matt Field from Drift Cave rebuilt a flood-salvaged C8 Corvette into a drift machine. In the back of the car is a 462 ci (7.5 L) LSx V8 built by Groom Racing Engines. It features a LSR block, forged internals, SC2 heads, nitrous system, and custom Borla 8-to-1 equal-length exhaust manifold. The motor produces 1012 hp at 9,500 rpm and transfers that to the wheels through a Weddle S5 five-speed sequential transaxle. The Corvette also features a Liberty Walk Performance bodykit. You can watch the car’s progress on Matt’s channel or listen to him explains the work to Larry Chen in the video below.
