1970 Cuda with a Supercharged Redeye V8
Ringbrothers spent 5,600 hours transforming a 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda into “Infected” at their company in Spring Green, Wisconsin.
Under the custom carbon fiber hood sits a supercharged 6.2 L Hellcrate Redeye V8 capable of 807 hp (593 kW) and 717 lb-ft (972 Nm) of torque on 91 octane gasoline. The motor features a forged steel crank, forged pistons and rods, and a 2.7 L supercharger making 14.5 psi of boost.
Ringbrothers enhanced the V8 with their custom headers and exhaust. The drivetrain starts with a Tilton clutch and a custom C6 Corvette torque tube. From there power is sent to a Bowler TR-6060 six-speed manual transaxle with a Wavetrac limited-slip differential.
The Cuda sits on a custom Roadster Shop chassis featuring an independent rear suspension and RS Fox SV coilovers. Braking is handled by Baer Extreme XRT six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors in front and four-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors in back. Those are covered in HRE Series 105 wheels (20×10.5, 21×13) with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (285/30, 335/30).
Ringbrothers spent the majority of their time on the exterior. They moved the front wheel wells forward 1.5 inches. They extended the rocker panels, fabricated a custom floor, and narrowed the bumpers. Ringbrothers painted everything in a custom color “Pink Eye” using BASF Glasurit Waterborne paint. The bumper guards and grill were made from billet aluminum.
Upholstery Unlimited created the custom leather interior. Ringbrothers installed their Murph steering wheel, carbon fiber pistol grip shifter, Gen 4 Vintage Air AC system, and custom Dakota Digital gauges.
