This very nice 1979 Triumph Spitfire is being sold on eBay with no reserve. Everything in the drivetrain has been swapped using Mazda parts. The engine is a Mazda 12A rotary engine from a 1978 RX-7 and with some port work produces around 190 horsepower. The transmission is a RX-7 five-speed manual which is connected to a heavy duty clutch and Mazda LSD. The car is able to reach 150 mph and gets 20 mpg.
The previous owner built this car in the 90’s during the time the Grassroots Motorsports Ro-spit was built. The difference being this was built for the road while the Ro-spit was built for the track.
