1971 Chevelle With 1,000 HP And AWD
A talented builder from France created this 1,000+ horsepower 1971 Chevelle with AWD. I have seen a few classic muscle car projects attempt to go AWD but this is the first I have ever seen completed. The engine is a DART 355 block with Diamond 10:1 pistons, a cam with 255˚/260˚ duration and 0.625″ lift, and two GT35R turbochargers. The engine produces the four-digit power figure thanks to E85 fuel and 14 psi of boost. The rest of the drivetain consists of a 4L80E transmission, NP149 transfer case with viscous coupling, a Typhoon 3.73 front differential, and 3.73 12-bolt rear differential. The Chevelle can reach 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 2.75 seconds and 50-75 mph in 1.01 seconds.
