Gruppe5 Motorsport is Building Custom BMW 2002s with an 800 hp S85 V10

Gruppe5 Motorsport has joined forces with Bill and Bob Riley from Riley Technologies and Steve Dinan from CarBahn Autoworks to build one of the fastest street-legal GT Class cars in the World. The project called “Gruppe5 2002” will feature a custom carbon fiber body and steel chassis with pushrod suspension geometry and three-way adjustable coilovers. The 2,200 lb car is capable of 2,400 lbs of downforce. The company will make 200 cars with a 5.8 L S85 V10 making 744 hp at 8,200 rpm and 525 lb-ft of torque at 5,800 rpm. They will also make 100 cars with a 5.9 L S85 V10 making 803 hp at 8,400 rpm and 550 lb-ft of torque at 6,200 rpm. Power will be sent to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted Xtrac six-speed sequential transaxle controlled via paddle shifters. Gruppe5 Motorsport is currently accepting orders with production staring in Summer 2019
