Jersey Giulietta: Cole Pennington and His 1959 Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce

It’s early morning in late July in northern New Jersey, and we have the pleasure of spending the day with our old friend Cole Pennington and his 67-year-old Italian sports car. It sits in a small garage behind Cole’s childhood home, next to a cluttered assortment of old tools and household items. Cole is back from overseas. The Giulietta is itching to get out of the stable and run. The 1.7 liter twin-cam roars to life. It rumbles down the driveway and devours the suburban streets, eager for the open roads to the west.
