After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Armenia faced immediate crisis. Energy shortages. Economic collapse. War. Within five years, half the population emigrated. The automotive landscape reflected that erasure. Soviet-era Ladas sat without gasoline. Dealerships didn't exist. Parts networks didn't exist. The concept of a sports car, of driving for pleasure rather than survival, belonged to a different reality entirely. For Artem Simonyan in Yerevan, bringing a Porsche to Armenia became a mission. Twenty years ago, he opened the first Porsche dealership in the country. The Guards Red 964 he imported for himself is the only one in Armenia.
