Toyota MR2 with a 822 whp Turbo 2GR V6

Toyota MR2 with a turbocharged 2GR V6 swap on the dyno

ATS Racing swapping a 2GR V6 into this Toyota MR2 in 2023. The 2GR V6 featured factory internals, Comp 6265 turbocharger, FMW cast exhaust headers, and Link G4X PnP ECU. The combo was good for 664 hp (488 kW) to the wheels. The MR2 returned to ATS Racing in 2025 for a built motor. The 2GR V6 now features forged pistons and rods, Kelford 263-C camshafts, upgraded valves springs, Comp 6871 turbocharger, and TCS exhaust headers. They also upgraded the fuel system with Bosch 1300 cc injectors fed by a Walbro 525 Hellcat fuel pump. This time the motor made 822 hp (612 kW) on 20 psi (1.3 bar) of boost. It is paired to a Toyota E153 five-speed manual transmission with a Quaife limited-slip differential.
