Diesel Pump UK’s 1952 GMC Truck with a Twin-Charged Mercedes OM606

1952 GMC pickup with a twin-charged Mercedes OM606 diesel inline-six

Luke Dale and his company Diesel Pump UK celebrated in their 1952 GMC truck with a burnout and “wheelie”. Under the classic hood sits a twin-charged 3.0 L Mercedes OM606 diesel inline-six. Luke built the motor with upgraded rods and valve springs and a Diesel Pump UK exhaust manifold and billet body fuel pump. Boost is generated first by a Kenne Bell 2.8 L supercharger and then a BorgWarner S300 66 mm turbocharger. Air is cooled by two intercoolers. The diesel inline-six produces 600+ hp (441+ kW). Luke chose to back the motor with a Gearstar Pro Series 4L80 four-speed automatic transmission with a manual valvebody and Currie 9-inch rear end. The truck still retains the factory leaf-spring suspension but converted to five-lug hubs. It stops thanks to Wilwood six-piston brakes in front and four-piston brakes in the rear.
