This BMW 5 Series (E39) visited KMS Engine for a dyno tune. The sedan is powered by a turbocharged 2JZ-GTE inline-six paired with a ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission. The motor features forged internals, Brian Crower 276/276+ camshafts, and a Garrett G42-1200 turbocharger. On 98 octane fuel and 1.1 bar (15.9 psi) of boost, the motor made 700 hp (514 kW) and 743 Nm (548 lb-ft) of torque. On E85 fuel and 1.7 bar (24.6 psi) of boost, the motor made 1056 hp (776 kW) and 1064 Nm (784 lb-ft) of torque. Watch the dyno session in the videos below.
