Toyota GT86 with a 3UZ V8

Toyota GT86 with a 3UZ V8

Zen Low’s Toyota GT86 called “Katana” was powered by a HKS-built Boxer flat-four. Last year Zen swapped that for a naturally aspirated 4.3 L 3UZ V8 built by Khairul Nizam. The motor sits on custom mounts with a custom oil sump and custom intake manifold by VR Motorsports. To make more room in the engine bay, Zen lowered the front subframe and moved the radiator to the trunk. Exhaust is routed through custom stainless steel manifolds to titanium tips in the hood. The motor runs on a Link Voodoo Pro ECU via a custom wiring harness by Precision Autotech. The 3UZ is paired to a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission. The car rides on Titan adjustable coilovers with Nashin four-piston brakes. Zen installed a widebody kit by JWIDE Bodykits covering a set of custom Keth wheels. Watch the project’s progress on Zen Low’s channel.
