HRB’s 1500 hp Billet RB26 Build

Hughes Race Built 1500 hp billet RB-series inline-six

Tom Hughes from Hughes Race Built is building a turbocharged RB-series inline-six for a Nissan R34 GTR capable of 1500 hp. The build starts with a Bullet billet RB26 block and a 2.8 L Nitto stroker kit with forged rods and pistons and wet oil sump with external oil pump. On top goes a ported RB26 head with Nitto head gasket, 0.5-inch head studs, Ferrea valves, Kelford DLC-coated buckets, heavy duty valve springs, and Kelford 182-SF reduced base circle diameter camshafts. The combo should be good for 1500+ hp on E85 fuel and 8:1 compression. Listen to Tom explain what it take to build a RB-series capable that level of power.
