Rodin’s 12,000 rpm 4.0 L V10 Makes 720 hp

RS.TEN 4.0 L V10 built by Rodin Cars

David Dicker founded Rodin Cars in New Zealand to create the ultimate track car. To achieve that they developed their own 4.0 L V10 called the RC.TEN. Rodin offers a naturally aspirated version capable of 720 hp at 11,000 rpm or a twin-turbo version capable of 1,000 hp at 9,500 rpm. Both engines feature a 72-degree V10 all-aluminum design with a 86.0 mm bore and 68.8 mm stroke, direction injection, and dry sump. The naturally aspirated motor has a 12,000 rpm redline and 15:1 compression ratio while the twin-turbo motor features a 10,000 rpm redline and 10.2:1 compression ratio. Rodin states the motor will weigh 125–160 kg (275-352 lb) depending on setup. Listen to Andre from High Performance Academy interview Mike Gartrell from Rodin about the unique engine.
