RWD VW Polo with a turbocharged Volvo inline-four

Robin Tagesson, Robert Flysjö, and Fredrik Sernemo are building a special VW Polo 6R called “NukedPolo” at Nuke Performance in Sweden. The project is a rally inspired race car that is street legal. For power the team went with a naturally aspirated 1.6 L Volvo B4164S2 inline-four. It will stroked to 2.0 liters and feature forged rods and pistons, upgraded camshafts, dry sump system, and a BorgWarner EFR 7670 turbocharger. Behind the motor is a Domiworks adapter plate bolted to a ZF GS7D36SG seven-speed transmission and Winters quick-change rear differential with BMW E34 axles. Everything is supported by a custom tubular chassis with custom front and rear suspension designed by G-Rex Sweden. Listen to Robin explain the project in the video below.
