Audi S3 with a 1000 whp Turbo Inline-Four

Project Factory Motorsport Audi S3 with a turbo stroked inline-four

Project Factory Motorsport (PFM) built this 2009 Audi S3 to drag race at their company in Athens, Greece. The car is powered by a turbocharged and stroked VW inline-four capable of 1064 hp (782 kW) to the wheels on 3.6 bar (52 psi) of boost running a MSLabs MS3 ECU. The motor starts with a 1.9 L TDI block, ZRP stroker crankshaft, custom Diamond forged pistons, and R&R aluminum rods. On top is a ported EA113 head with the direct injection removed. There is also Supertech valvetrain, custom Cat Cams camshafts, PFM billet intake manifold, and eight injectors. Boost is generated by a PFM turbocharger system using a Precision 7675 GEN 2 turbocharger. Power is sent to all four MH Racemaster drag radials (235/60) through a DQ250 six-speed automatic transmission with custom straight-cut gearset, PFM 17-plate clutch with Dodson discs, Wavetrac differential, and upgraded 2nd-genderation Haldex system with a custom controller. The recently completed S3’s best quarter-mile is 8.43 sec at 174.19 mph (280.33 km/h).
