Building a V8stealthbeetle Roadster: Step 2 Prepare, fit and start the engine

Published in Video

This video is part 2 in a 4 part series of videos where we show you how to build one of our #V8stealthbeetle Roadsters from scratch, using our high grade aluminum chassis and components, a Chevy LS3 motor and Getrag 6 speed manual transaxle, and a completely face-lifted original VW Beetle body. In Step 2 we have a mountain to climb. First we prepare the #ChevyLS3 6.2l motor, then we slide it into the already built (see Step 1 video) chassis, then we connect everything up and lastly we fire up the 430hp beast. As a special bonus just for you at the end we place our already prepared #Roadster body over the whole lot to see just how stunning she will look. As always for more information and to register interest in joining the V8stealthbeetle family, head over to our 3L Engineering website and fill in the enquiry form and we will contact you. https://3lengineeringanddesign.com/v8stealthbeetle This is a long video so here is the time stamps of the various stages if you want to skip ahead or share anything with your friends. 0:00 Intro montage 1:02 Doug’s intro 2:03 Jean’s intro, what we need to do 2:49 Water pump 3:25 Turning the inlet manifold 6:54 Fitting the alternator 7:33 Fitting the water manifold 8:10 Fitting the flywheel and double clutch 11:44 Fitting the adaptor plate 12:19 fitting the Getrag transaxle 12:51 Preparing the engine for the chassis 14:42 Bringing in the chassis 15:22 Fitting the Electric Water Pump 16:09 Lowering the engine into the chassis 16:53 Preparing the engine to fire up 17:37 Adding Fuel 17:52 Plumbing the water system in 19:30 The engine ECUs 20:24 Air intake and MAF sensor 21:43 Establishing oil pressure 22:33 Fitting the exhaust system 23:20 Firing her up for the first time 24:19 Let’s add wheels and a body and outro
