Andre Simon from High Performance Academy interviewed Dylan Auton about his Datsun 1600 race car created for World Time Attack Challenge. Dylan chose to power the car with a stroked 6.0 L Nissan VK56 V8 capable of 850 hp (625 kW) naturally aspirated. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an Albins sequential transaxle. Dylan replaced the factory Datsun 1600 suspension for a double-wishbone Supercar front and rear suspension. The car also features Supercar uprights, LMP-spec AP Racing carbon brakes, and Supercar centerlock wheels. The extreme aero was designed by Andrew Brilliant from AMB Aero. Listen to the V8 scream on the dyno before Dylan explains the work that went into the unique race car.
