Jessee Billman’s BMW E30 with a LS3 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Jessee Billman was seeking another project after building his 2JZ-powered F-100. Last year he found it in a BMW E30 Touring. The red wagon came with a 2.0 L M20 inline-six and Getrag five-speed manual transmission. Jessee swapped them for a 6.2 L LS3 V8 and T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission using a Sikky Stage 3 swap kit and radiator. The kit included aluminum mounts, aluminum 6.8-quart oil pan, exhaust headers, one-piece driveshaft, power steering lines, Wiring Specialties wiring harness. The motor’s 450 hp is sent to the rear wheels through a BMW 188 mm (medium case) limited-slip differential with a 3.46 ratio. The wagon rides on BC Racing coilovers with a BMW E36 steering rack. It still retains the factory brakes but Jessee plans to upgrade to Wilwood six-piston front brakes. You can follow the project’s progress on @2jz_f100.
