Published in engineswapdepot.com

Detroit Speed is cruising the 2024 Hot Rod Power Tour in their 1989 Mustang test mule. Under the hood is a Ford Performance 363 ci small-block V8 crate motor capable of 500+ hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. It features a Boss 302 block, SCAT forged steel crank, SCAT forged steel I-beam rods, Mahle forged pistons, Z2 heads, 232/240 hydraulic roller camshaft, and Flowtech mid-length exhaust headers. Backing the motor is a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission with a Quicktime bellhousing and a Detroit Speed floating rear end with their FN988 center section. The car rides on Detroit Speed’s prototype front suspension and double-adjustble shocks, adjustable sway bar, and subframe connectors. The finishing touch is Detroit Speed’s Baer Pro+ brake kit hiding behind a set of Rocket Racing Flare wheels.
