Building Two Jeep Wranglers with a Hellcat V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Dakota Customs and River Raider Off-road are each building a Jeep powered by a 707 horsepower Hellcat V8. Dakota Customs stated they have been trying to purchase a crate motor since January from Chrysler with no luck. So the only way to get the engine is to pull it from a new car which you can view them doing in the embedded time-lapse video below. They did state that when engine become more available or Chrysler starts selling the crate version they will put the motor back into the original car. They estimate the conversion to cost around $105,000. Both River Raider Off-road and Dakota Customs will be unveiling one of these 707 horsepower Jeeps at SEMA 2015.
