They were ready to scrap it. Instead, I brought it home to find out what they missed. In this video, I tear into a neglected BMW i3 that the dealer abandoned, track down the real problem, and try to keep it alive using parts pulled from another dead i3 including a heater harvested from the donor car. This isn’t a restoration or a full rebuild. It’s about finding out whether a car labelled “not worth fixing” really deserves it. Sometimes the problem isn’t the car it’s where people stop looking.
