You Can Only Think About One Thing – Jack Olsen’s 1972 Porsche 911

Published in Stanceworks.com

On the long drive home from Sacramento over the weekend, Riley and I found ourselves discussing the ins and outs of Willow Springs International Raceway. For fans of Southern California's road courses, it's known that "big willow" is a fickle beast: a place said to be where boys go to become men. On the other hand, the track's winding, high speed nature is all but paved specifically for Riley's Trans Am and its on-track debut. We discussed the driving line, the corners, and the track's scariest sections, and found ourselves more eager than ever to return to the asphalt. That evening, Riley found himself watching videos of the track's fastest lines. One driver in particular, Jack Olsen, put together an incredible in-depth guide to the track's nuances... but a dive into his channel led to an incredible story of man and machine. We couldn't help but share right away.
