1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a 6.4 L Hemi
Vigilante 4×4 restores and upgrades Jeeps at their company in Johnson City, Texas. This 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer received an overhaul starting with the powertrain. In the engine bay is a 6.4 L Hemi V8 making 485 hp (356 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque. It is backed by a Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and Atlas II transfer case. Power is sent to a Currie Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear axle. Everything sits on a Vigilante-designed boxed chassis with 4-link front and rear suspension. Eibach springs and Fox 2.0 shocks handled bumps while large Baer six-piston calipers and 14-inch drilled/slotted rotors slow the Wagoneer. Vigilante restored the factory body and accented it with Colorado Red paint, stainless steel trim, and chrome bumpers. Inside the wells they added Vigilante’s Signature Turbine 17-inch wheels wearing BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires (285/70). Vigilante has this restored Wagoneer listed for $365,000.
