BMW E92 with a 7.0 L LSx V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This BMW E92 “Eurofighter” was built by HGK Racing for Kristaps Blušs to compete in Formula Drift 2018 season. Several years later and the car is piloted by Nikolass Bertans in the European Drift Masters 2025 season. Under the custom hood is a naturally aspirated 427 ci (7.0 L) LSx V8 built by Mast Motorsports. It features forged internals, ported heads, custom camshaft, and 123 mm throttle body. It produces 900 hp (661 kW) on 13.5:1 compression and race fuel. The team added a nitrous system to add another 250 hp (183 kW) when needed. Behind the motor is a twin-disc clutch, Samsonas RS90 five-speed sequential transmission, carbon fiber driveshaft, and Winters quick-change rear end. The car weighs 1150 kg (2,535 lb) thanks to HGK’s carbon-kevlar widebody and coated Lexan windows.
