Vorshlag Races a Honda J37-Powered FRS at Motorsport Ranch

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Vorshlag Motorsports made several upgrades to their 2013 Scion FR-S race car after their last event. The team tested those improvements at Motorsport Ranch (MSR) in Cresson, Texas. The good news is the improvement did help improve lap times. Unfortunately the increased g-forces caused a drop in oil pressure and a spun rod bearing. Thankfully J37 V6 motors are plentiful and Vorshlag already has a replacement. The drivetrain is still doing well which consists of a custom adapter plate, Aisin AZ6 six-speed manual transmission from a 2009-2011 Mazda RX-8, custom driveshaft, and factory rear end. Watch one of the laps in the video below or follow the project’s progress in Vorshlag’s build thread.
