1974 BMW 2002 with a 600 hp Turbo S52

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Mano Agulian built this 1974 BMW 2002 called “Agave” at his Manofied Automotive Customization Shop in California. The little car is powered by a turbocharged 3.2 L S52 inline-six featuring forded connecting rods and pistons and a Competition oilless turbocharger. It produces 600 hp (441 kW) on 11 psi (0.7 bar) of boost, 10:1 compression, and E85 fuel. Mano paired the motor with a five-speed manual transmission and rear differential with a 4.10 ratio. The car rides on a custom suspension with 2002 Turbo four-piston front brakes and 250 mm drum rear brakes. Those are covered by a 15×9-inch wheels. Listen to Mano explain the project to Jay Leno in the video below.
