Johan Ackermann loves building unique Mercedes vehicles. Several years ago he showcased his Mercedes Sauber C9 replica at The Grand Tour. After that Johan just building a Mercedes CLK GTR replica in his garage. The project started with a Mercedes W210 E-class (E280) sedan. The front engine and powertrain were removed. Sitting in back of the car is a 6.0 L M120 V12 from a Mercedes S600 with individual throttle bodies from a BMW E46 M3. Behind the motor is an Audi 01x six-speed manual transmission. The majority of the time Johan spent making the custom metal widebody and CLK roof.
