Subaru BRZ with an EZ30 Flat-Six
In 2023 EDM Speed Projects built a Subaru BRZ to race at the track. The company chose to stay away from the factory 2.0 L FA20 flat-four and go with a 3.6 L Subaru EZ36 flat-six. Unfortunately the EZ36 motor blew and they swapped to a 3.0 L Subaru EZ30 flat-six. They competed at several tracks before the EZ30 blew at Silverstone. The project sat for a couple of years until EDM Speed Projects decided to get it ready for the track again. They started with a new EZ30 flat-six from a Subaru Tribeca. EDM Speed Projects swapped over the heads, timing gear, and baffled oil pan from the previous motor. The car’s first outing with the new motor was Brands Hatch Circuit.
EDM Speed Projects is also responsible for building Vini the V8 Mini. The project is a Mini Cooper S (R56) with a BMW S65 V8.
