AWD Ford Fiesta with a Turbo Inline-Five
Stu Hoy and Owen Forrest from Motor Addicts featured a unique sixth-generation Ford Fiesta. The owner built the car with a turbocharged 2.5 L Volvo B5254T3 inline-five (Ford badges as “Duratec RS”) capable of 600 hp (441 kW) on 28 psi (1.9 bar) of boost. The motor features a sleeved block, forged internals, Garrett G70-770 turbocharger, Hypergate 45 wastegate, and Ecumaster EMU ECU. The owner also swapped the FWD drivetrain for an AWD drivetrain. The motor is paired to a Volvo XC90 six-speed manual transmission. Behind that is a Volvo V50 driveshaft headed to a Cougar rear differential. The setup allows the owner to switch between AWD and RWD. Listen to the owner explain the car to Owen before driving it at an airfield.
