Toyota FJ62 with a 5.3 L Vortec V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1989 Toyota FJ62 was built by Land Cruiser Restorations (LCR) in Belle Plaine, Kansas. In the engine bay they installed a 5.3 L Vortec V8 paired to a 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission. A factory Toyota transfer case sends power to the factory axles by custom driveshafts. A Long Range America 40-gallon fuel tank affords the V8 plenty of gasoline. The SUV’s suspension features rebuilt Birfield knuckles and Old Man Emu shocks, springs, and steering stabilizer. The body is covered in Dodge Destroyer Gray paint with custom LCR rock sliders, custom LCR front and rear bumpers, and Grote LED headlights. On top of the roof they installed a AluCab tent and ladder. Inside the wells are BFGoodrich K02 33×10.5-inch tires on 15-inch wheels.
