Carbon Kevlar Volvo Wagon with a 1000+ hp Turbo 20B Three-Rotor
Axel Pedro Hildebrand unveiled his wild 20B-powered Corvette at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2022. For the Goodwood FoS 2025 he decided to build something new. Axel and his team spent six months building a 1989 Volvo 745 wagon also with a turbocharged 2.0 L 20B three-rotor. Pulse Performance Race Engineering (PPRE) built the bridgeported 20B with RX-7 rotors, billet center plate, and PPRE intake manifold. Boost is generated by a Garrett G45-1500 turbocharger. The motor produces 750-800 hp (551-588 kW) to the wheels on 1.4 bar (20.3 psi). Or boosted turned up to 2.0 bar (29.0 psi) and it will make 1000 hp (735 kW) to the wheels. Behind the motor is a Quaife 69G six-speed sequential transmission and live axle. The wagon weight is 1244 kg (2742 lb) thanks to a custom carbon kevlar body. You can watch the wagon’s full build on Axel’s channel.
