1964 F-100 with a Coyote V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Brian Reed and his coworker Virgil Thoroughman built this 1964 Ford F-100 at Brian’s company Buckeye Collision Center in Ohio. The classic truck is powered by a 5.0 L Coyote V8 crate motor accented by Patriot tight tuck headers and custom 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust. Behind that is a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission and 9-inch rear end with a limited-slip differential, 3.73 ratio, and Moser 31-spline axles. The truck rides on a custom chassis with a Mustang II front suspension and custom 4-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by Wilwood Superlite six-piston front calipers with 14-inch rotors and Dynalite four-piston rear calipers with 12-inch rotors. A set of US Mags Rambler (18×8, 20×10) wheels cover those with Nitto 555 G2 tires (205/30, 275/35). Brian and Virgil’s work resulted in the truck being on Summit Racing’s catalog cover.
