1933 Ford with a Rear-Engine LS4 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Austin Collins from Hot Rod Heaven USA interviewed Russ about his “Miss Understood” 1933 Ford sedan. Russ explains the project started with just a body. He lengthened the cabin and chassis 10 inches to fit a 2008 Impala SS powertrain in the back. The classic sedan is now powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3 L LS4 V8 capable of 450 hp (330 kW). Russ says the motor was rebuilt with upgraded valve springs, ported heads, Brian Tooley Racing Stage 2 camshaft, and a DOD (displacement on demand) delete. Power is sent to the rear tires through a 4T65E-HD four-speed automatic transmission. Listen to Russ explain the project to Austin the video below.
