The heart of this 1972 Dodge Demon is a supercharged 426 ci Hellcat V8 installed by Hot Rod Shop in Corinth, Mississippi. Ray Barton built the motor with a custom-ground camshaft, Thitek Performance ported heads, Metco 2.65-inch upper pulley, ATI Racing lower pulley, and Mancini Racing exhaust headers. The Hellcat V8 produces 890 hp (654 kW) on 93 octane fuel or 1130 hp (842 kW) on E85 fuel. Backing that power is a Southern Hotrod “War Viking Max” 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission with a ProTorque converter and Ford 9-inch rear end. The Demon rides on an RMS AlterKtion front suspension and Lynx rear suspension with Ridetech adjustable coilovers. Behind the Triumph forged 3-piece wheels are Wilwood disc brakes.
