Ford Fiesta with a 1000+ hp Volvo Inline-Five at Lillehammer

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Stian Hafsengen spent a year rebuilding his Ford Fiesta race car. Thankfully the blue hatchback is still powered by turbocharged 2.5 L Volvo inline-five in a longitudinal layout. In 2021 the motor made 1026 hp (754 kW) and 1146 Nm (845 lb-ft) of torque on 2.5 bar (36.2 psi) of boost. No word on current power output. The car also still retains a 4WD drivetrain paired to a Sellholm six-speed sequential transmission. HillClimb Monsters recorded Stian pushing the Fiesta to the limits while racing up the mountain in Lillehammer, Norway.
