Triumph Toledo with a Honda F20C

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1973 Triumph Toledo originally came with a 1.3 L inline-four making 53 hp and a four-speed manual transmission. The previous owner “Shoey” swapped a 2.0 L F20C inline-four and six-speed manual transmission from a Honda S2000. The motor’s 240 hp (176 kW) is sent to the rear wheels through a custom driveshaft to a Dolomite Sprint axle with 3.45 ratio. The car’s suspension uses GAZ adjustable coilovers, Toledo front roll bar, quick-ratio steering rack, Dolomite Sprint rear sway bar. Braking is handled by Mazda MX-5 front bakes and Dolomite Sprint rear brakes. Those are covered by a Compomotive ML 13×5.5-inch wheels with Toyo Proxes R888R tires. The interior features Corbeau GTB front seats, Dolomite Spring rear seat, Dolomite adjustable steering column, Momo steering wheel, and ETB gauges. You can view the project’s full progress in build thread on Retro Rides or listen to Stu from Motor Addicts discuss the car before driving it.
