BMW E91 Wagon with a 4.6L S65 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Precision Sport Industries (PSI) created a “E91 M3 GTS” using a BMW 328i (E91) wagon chassis and many parts from a BMW E90 M3. In the engine bay is a 4.6 L S65 V8 built by CarBahn capable of 516 hp (379 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. The company increased the displacement from 4.0 L to 4.6 L using a 94 mm bore and 83 mm stroke. The motor features a forged crank, CP Carrillo forged pistons and rods, CarBahn valve springs, carbon fiber intake, and CSF aluminum triple pass radiator. Behind the V8 is the E90 M3 seven-speed DCT, Driveshaft Shop carbon fiber driveshaft, and E90 M3 differential with 3.15 ratio. The wagon’s suspension uses Bilstein Clubsport 2-way coilovers, SPL lower control arms, tension rods, sway bar end links, toe links, and rear upper arm links. PSI upgraded the braking with Stoptech six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes. Covering those are BBS E88 wheels (18×10, 18×11) with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (265/35, 295/30).
