1975 Jeep Cherokee with a 392 ci Hemi V8
ICON 4×4 built this 1975 Jeep Cherokee called “Safe Flight” for a repeat customer at their company in California. The SUV is powered by a 392 ci Hemi V8 crate motor making 485 hp (356 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque. Behind that is a 4L85 four-speed automatic transmission and Atlas 2-speed transfer case. Power is split between a Currie Dana 44 front axle and Currie Dana 60 rear axle. Everything sits on an Art Morrison chassis with Fox Racing coilovers and Brembo six-piston brakes. The exterior is coated in Porsche Chalk paint with custom badges and side stripe. The front features a machined factory-style grill, re-chromed factory bumper, and LED headlights. On each corner are ICON 4×4 Old School wheels with custom stainless steel hubcaps. Listen to Jonathan Ward explain all the work that went into the vehicle.
