Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato with a Twin Spark
Alfaholics built this Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato called the “Zagato-R” for Gordon Murray at their company in the UK.
In the engine bay they installed an Alfa Romeo Twin Spark inline-four good for 230 hp (169 kW). The motor’s aluminum block holds custom a custom 94 mm stroke crankshaft, steel rods, and forged pistons. On top they install a ported head and upgraded valvetrain. The combo is controlled by a Motec M1 ECU.
Behind the motor is a GTA close-ratio manual transmission with drilled/scalloped gears and superfinished internals. The driveshaft delivers power to a limited-slip differential and out billet axles.
Alfaholics improved the car’s handling thanks to their GTA-R 290 suspension kit. They add lightweight springs, double-adjustable shocks, titanium upper wishbones, billet GTA-R uprights, and titanium wheel hubs. The company upgrades the braking system with billet six-piston calipers with 300 mm rotors in front and billet two-piston calipers with 267 mm rotors in back.
On the inside Alfaholics installed Dynamat to reduce road noise and heat transfer. Over that they add English Wilton wool carpet accented by custom Italian leather covered seats with diamond stitching. An Alcantara covered dashboard holds Alfa Romeo gauges and custom AC vents. In front of that is a Momo Prototipo steering wheel.
